Spring Browns!

Brown may not be the first colour we think of to associate with spring but i've spied quite a lot of it around.... in varying hues & combinations....

the glorious cock pheasant on the look out for his harem...

hares a-plenty, madly dashing...

a wheatear, newly migrated for the spring & summer...

and poplar leaves....

not the same variety as in my earlier poplar post but a close cousin...

perfect inspiration for colour palettes...

Great pictures. My nan has had pheasants chasing eachother round her garden for a couple of days now and this morning we found an olive coloured egg on the ground. We suspect it may belong to a pheasant. My aunt is now trying to incubate it. x

S-you are so right many of us think green and blue and yellow when we think of the new growth and sunshine blue skies of spring. Great to be reminded of the other colours that even brown can be full of energy and life. Go well in spring after such a tough winter. B
