I have spread my dreams under your feet...

...tread softly because you tread on my dreams. You might have to click on the pic to see the lettering.

This is a quote is from a poem by William Butler Yeats, which I have written out many times in many ways & I never tire of it.
'He Wishes For The Cloths of Heaven'

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,

Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths

Of night and light and the half-light,

I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;

I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Although I
did this piece a while ago Celtic Lady reminded me about it when she posted the poem in her blog... what an interesting & informative site that is!

Oh how freaky! I came across this poem in a book I was reading at lunch time... It is a beautiful poem... Maybe I should look up some Keats and read a little more...
